He has had some 30 books published - travel guides, books of walks, personal travel accounts, and collections of poems - and several thousand articles in the broadsheets, tabloids and many magazines. His walks in the Daily Telegraph and in Saga Magazine are read by millions and followed by thousands, with a particular expertise in Britain's coast (he wrote the books for the BBC COAST series).
